Dash replacement

OK, so I had a guy fix a cut in my dash, and it looked fairly good. So being the perfectionist I am, I thought I could possibly improve it a bit. 'Nuff said. I now have it looking worse, and need to decide how to proceed. Has anyone used any repair shops to repair the vinyl dash in their car? Or the dealer?

I thought about just getting it as close to good as possible, and then having the dash redyed.

I also thought about getting a clean used dash from a salvage yard and having the dealer replace it. Anyone know if a 2006 dash will fit my 2005? It is the upper pad I need to deal with only. I am just not sure if I need just the dash or the airbag too....... Any thoughts on how bad a job this is? Cost involved?

Or getting a big sticker and slapping it on the dash.....

Of course I could just hide it really well, and trade it in.......lol

a photo to show what it looks like. i filled it with some filler/adhesive designed for vinyl repair, so it doesn't get worse.

did they replace his *****, or just reskin them?....lol i know, worst thing is, it really wasn't too bad when i had the repair done....but the jackass gear kicked in and i thought i could improve it. i found some salvaged dashes, so i know i can go that route.....guess i need to get a dealer quote on an installation, so i have some numbers.
