Reputable Alarm Installer?

Hey guys,

i'm looking to get a Viper 5901 alarm installed, any recommendations in Orlando? I am willing to travel if needed, but i don't want just "anyone" ripping up my car. Id like to know if any of you have gotten an alarm done before and if the place did a good job or not.

I don't want to attempt anything like this by myself, i'll probably blow every fuse in the car. I did a search, but couldn't find anything.

oOMikeyBoy, I live in Orlando and I am looking for someone to install the almost identical setup. Where did you get the alarm, etc. and how much did you pay?
Maybe we can get a deal cut somewhere for the install...like a 2 for 1...lol

The 5901 is $203 shipped from amazon.com, and i got the rest of the parts from amazon.com as well. I picked amazon because of their kick *** return policy incase things don't work, rather than ebay.

In total, i paid about $422 without any place to install. lol, i got a guy that says he can help me do it, i'll def. let you know how it goes.

Max, def. let me know how much he's charging for install. I'm in a 6spd, but id like to know if its difficult or not to do the remote start as well.

Ok, heres the update:

I posted this on the12volt.com and i am just reposting it here.
They worked on it for about 8 hours, and the car wasn't done yet. Here are a few of the problems i'm trying to figure out, if anyone has any clues it would be much appreciated.

1. The alarm doesn't seem to arm itself at all. It beeps, and says armed but thats it. With the windows down, and the alarm is "armed" if i flip the door lock and open the door, nothing happens, even the factory alarm does nothing now.
2. When we pop the hood with the alarm "armed" nothing happens. When i hit "unlock" on the remote, sometimes nothing happens.
3. The aux button thats supposed to release the trunk - nothing happens.
4. The installer put the transponder antenna right near the rearview mirror area, is that normally where it should go?
5. The field disturbance sensor does absolutely nothing at all, even though its installed?

I have yet to test the tilt sensor, or the audio sensor.. but this seems like a shoddy install to me? I will be going back in a few days though, they didnt finish the install yet. I hope everything gets resolved, but if anyone has input, it would be most welcome.

Oh and yeah, i'm gonna check orlandoforums.com and see what they got to say about it.

Auto Sound Factory off of OBT and i-4. They were listed on viper.com as a certified viper retailer and installer, so i said hey, why not.

A little under $300. Crazy, because i was quoted $600 in other places around orlando, i had no idea the labor was so high.

damn.... that almost makes me want to find a place with basic install included and give up some of the savings through online buying. I guess I could still pickup the other parts online.

I have no clue what I am talking about when it comes to alarm installs and that is why I am searching for an installer, but could it a firmware issue with the interface module? Supposedly you can connect the module to your computer to check for firmware updates:

http://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?prodid=DLPK

The only thing I haven't been able to decide on for my setup is what interface module I should get. What is the advantages or main features of the bypass door lock combo module (XpressKit DLPX) you got compared to the regular interface modular (XpressKit #07) listed for our cars on the viper site?
