Got a ticket today... Need some assistance.

I was traveling down 436 and turned onto 17-92...

My interior indicators lights are broken and the body shop couldn't fix them so I must of accidently bumped the hazards and didn't know they were on, I pass the un-marked cop with them on. He doesn't do anything pulling up to 17-92 I didn't realize that it was a one lane turn lane and put on my blinker and head check to make sure I have plenty of clearance I merge into the turn lane in which he says I crossed over the solid white line with no signal..

Obviously there won't be a signal showing because my hazards are on.... I explain to him the situation and he continues to say that I was speeding but he couldn't get a speed he then tries to write me for my hazard lights. In the end he gets me for Improper lane change do you think I have a valid argument to get it thrown out? $151.00 and 3 pointer.

Yikes. I can give you the # to my attorney in downtown Orlando if you want... He'll let you know if it's worth fighting or not.

At most you can get by with a faulty equipment ticket, but you would have to get your indicator lights fixed before court. If you want to fight it get an attorney.

you cant tell if you have a chance in court until you get your hand on officers statement.

there are allot of things that officer can do wrong that will help you to dismiss your ticket.

Make sure you don't go 80 in a 70 behind a cop going 80 while you're driving on a suspended license

If you have a good driving record, fight it. If you have gone to driving school before, fight it and ask the judge to order you to attend driving school. You can choose to attend a driver improvement course once in any 12-month period and no more than 5 times in a ten year period. But if the judge orders to you go, then that doesn't count against those limits.

Request a court date and take it to court yourself. I wouldn't pay for the attorney because it'll probably be more than the ticket. You might pay for the attorney and still end up having to pay for the ticket. Just take it to court yourself.
