I have to take my car to Orlando Infiniti to get my tranny worked on at 2pm on Saturday. I will see if I can hang out before. Not sure how long I will be there. Sigh.

Yikes. Hope everything is okay with the transmission and if it's not...hopefully its still under warranty?

Yeah it's sad... I have to granny it into 5th.

It grinds from 4th to 5th, so I used to skip 5th but now it grinds from 4th to 6th as well. So now I have to go 4th to neutral, let the RPMs drop all the way below 1k, then shift into 5th. But once it's in 5th it will go into 6th easy.

Bobby at S&R suggested I use GM Synchromesh so I'm hoping that will help.

The synchronizer rings in our cars are pretty soft. They don't last forever... I wonder if you still have the original transmission in your car. Have the mechanic see what model your transmission is... 009 is the newest.

I had my transmission replaced right before my car went out of warranty. The good news was that it was free... the bad news was that installing the new transmission pinched the knock sensor cable and I had to take half my engine apart to replace it.
