I keep hearing rumors of Verizon (and other carriers) getting the iPhone. Does anyone have any insider info? I was feeling pretty good about it until VZW started their "we have a map for that" ads. Seems like they wouldn't do that if they were about to reach a deal with Apple. I'm getting ready to get a new phone with VZW but I'd hold off if I knew the iPhone was coming. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, "just switch to AT&T." lol VZW has their hooks in me for 18 months, got family on VZW, blah, blah. Dammit.

 

I heard from my friend that's been a Verizon customer for many years that they'll be getting the iPhone in April 2010. As far as those other ads go, I have no idea. AT&T sucks IMO and I've been wanting to switch to Verizon for a while but I really want to get the iPhone so that's the only reason I haven't switched yet.. lol

 

I work for AT&T and my Brother in law works for Apple. The most I have heard from "inside" is that the above poster is correct. Our exclusive contract with Apple will end sometime in 2010.

 

Yes they are going to get the iphone But a new iphone comes out in July and that will be exclusive to At&T. Verizon will get the scraps like the 3g but not the 4G that is coming out soon.

 

I can get bootleg iphones for 150

 

Wish AT&T didnt renew there contract other wise we all would have Iphones by now.

But too much money involved.

Now that most of the crazy buying phase has calmed down they need something else to fill there pockets that are already full.

 

just get the touch pro 2 verizon has.

^^ hehe, I second that, but using the OEM Operating Sytem is slow and sucky. I am actually using a hybrid OS which is freaking win.. I did not charge my phone for 2 days and had 50% battery usually my phone dies in like uh 10 hours lol. Plus its snappy. If you want more info about this just PM me.

OP: You know Apple came to Verizon first with the iPhone but they denied it. imo big mistake lol.

 

+1 for htc phones. they're the best manufacturer out there right now. plus they make great UIs like sense and touch flo.

use your $ to get a better phone. and at&t sucks - you'd have to be stupid to switch to their crap service.

storm 2 is coming out soon btw chad. should be pretty improved.

 

lol the storm is like a concept for storm 2.. Storm 2 is so much more refined. I might hassle VZW for one :P

 

Save your pennies for the HTC Dragon coming out early next year. All else compared is supposed to be a big fail compared to this

 

the new snapdragon processor does look promising. right now everything is still using the same 528mhz qualcomm processor. the next level up will hopefully mean better programming as well. the only phone using it right now is a bit of a let down but like you said, the dragon/hd2 should be pretty dope. right now id lean towards the dragon but winmo7 has potential as well.

 

that's if WinMo7 ever comes out

THe AT&T tilt / HTC Touch Pro 2 is running that bunk Winmo6.5 which is a 6.1 with a mask on - SO HOMOFONIC
