FGC Picture/Chat about the meet thread...
My dad's flight lands at 6pm tonight and I will not be able to make it to a meet tonight. There's tons of places around the Millenia area to choose from. As I announced at the Dyno Day, I might be taking a break from planning meets for a little while. I am hoping Ian can help out in the meantime. Have fun wherever you guys go tonight!
well, it seems to be that this week is not going to flow to smoothely. The mall at milenia seemed to be a good idea, but if noone really has a clue im just gonna go grab some mo wings at wingit. anyone wants to join me let me know. otherwise see u all next week.
Okay guys. We want to start a discussion regarding Orlando meets. This isn't necessarily a discussion on how the meets are ran or anything like that. Afterall, those who organize these things are doing it for free. Ian and Veronica volunteer their time to get these things organized, and it's not as easy it looks. And more importantly, it's pretty time consuming, and lets face it, that's something we all could use more of.
I'm here to try and help them out (Ian and V) with deciding on the next step: Where?
The other details are being sorted out, but I would like to see what you guys suggest as locations. Right now, it is likely going to be a bi-weekly meet with weekend meets thrown in there.
The bi-weekly meet (still on Wednesdays) will be every other week and in rotating fashion. After we all decide on *SET* locations, then we can set up a monthly schedule. Then everything is set and easy to manage. So here's what has worked for us in the past...
We've been dividing up the metro area into 3 areas: Altamonte (North), Waterford (East), and Florida Mall (SW).
I'll list some places that I recall we've done in the past...
North:
Bahama Breeze/Alehouse @ the Altamonte Mall
Casselberry Buffalo Wild Wings (more North East rather than North...)
East:
Buffalo Wild Wings @ Waterford
Southwest:
Wingit @ the Florida Mall

As for location Fl mall or millenia mall is the closest to Clermont, but to get things started ill travel to other areas. As for the dates bi-weekly sounds great as long as it falls on these wed's 6/23, 7/7, 7/21, 8/4 etc... as i work nights every other wed and wouldn't be able to make it at all if it followed the following weeks wed bi-weekly pattern.
