Honestly I have no idea what the replacement is. Heck they might put in the same engine that messed up. lol!!!!! I think there was some modification to the pistons or rings on the new block or something??? The 3.7 would be fn sweet though. Don't think there quite that giving...

you'll get a brand new motor. they send the old 1s out for evaluation.

Atlantic put one in Brandi's old G35 and it was fine after that.

same here. it even worked great when i was cutting down trees 3k miles later.

my dipstick is ziptie locked right now because of the test :-( it's killing me not being able to check just because Im afraid its going to run low. how many of us on here have had the issue with ridiculous oil comsumption. My car only has 33,xxx on it.

i think anyone here with rev up motor has the same concern!!ziptie on the dipstick havn't see that yet,,lol.and you need to bring the car back 1k miles from now to get the oil check.so don't worry the motor will be ok till then!

^ yep they zip tied my dipstick to the motor both 1,000 mile tests. lol!

Ahh free motor. Gotta love the sound of those words when the dealer is gonna pay for a new one. Hope everything works out in the end for ya.

my dealership is usually pretty good with warranty work. Except for my damn TPMS sensor that refused to register. Ended up replacing Keyless Entry Recognition system. Go Figure :-\

Me too! It seems to be going fine. And yes a free motor loving that... I have my fingers crossed. I will be at the meet on Sat hope to have her back by then.

K got the call heres the update. Car went in on Monday morning got the call Monday afternoon That I would rec a new motor due to the OC issue. Motor arrived @ Infiniti today and was installed. They will be finished with her by 10am tomorrow morning. Are you kidding me thats freaking fast!!!!!! Cant wait to have her back. So Stoked!!!!!!!!!
