So on my way home from S&R the other night, I was merging from 417 North onto 408 West (this is the ramp that has the perfect angle, curve, etc. to take really fast if you know how to drive). I put my blinker on and get into the exit lane, and I noticed that the van in front of me was going a lot slower than I was (I was going like 55-60 at this point). So I firmly pressed the brake, put in my clutch, and push the shifter into 3rd. Before I let the clutch out, my car shut off!! Like, dead. So I started panicking. All of the lights on the dash came on, the power steering went out, and my brakes were a lot less responsive. And keep in mind I'm in this merge ramp, and if someone came hauling-a$s behind me, they would have slammed right into me. I pulled over as far to the left as I could, but it was a sheer drop off to the left before you get to the guard rail that would have murdered my bumper and sideskirts. I'm freaking out, thankfully no one was behind me. I was able to pull over and stop the car before reaching the guard rail. I turn the key to OFF, and turn it back on and it starts right up!! I was like thank goodness.
I guess it stalled out because of how cold it was (it was about 30º at the time) and having the CAI. I know now that I could have turned it back on while still moving, but I didn't at the time because I didn't think it was stalled. My car had never done that to me before. Now I know for next time.

Wow. That sucks. Sorry to hear it happened.
I would have probably put it in 4th or 5th and bumped the clutch out to start it. My TA did something really strange like that once and that's what I did.
You have any idea what caused it? Maybe the IAC stuck closed and when you let off on the gas it closed off the air entirely and choked it?
