From G35 to G37 and now G25?
From G35 to G37 and now G25?
Wonder if anyone of you G's peps knew about this and if ya even like it... The New G25 comes turbo!!

Inside Line has learned from an unnamed high-ranking source within Nissan that Infiniti will launch a turbocharged version of its popular G sedan in the fall of 2010. The entry-level model will be called the G25 and will use the 2.5-liter V6 Nissan uses in the Japan-market Skyline 250GT (The Infiniti G is sold in Japan as the Nissan Skyline.)
At launch, the smaller turbo engine will be in the G sedan only and be sold alongside the naturally aspirated V6-powered G37. The idea is that the lower entry price and improved fuel economy of the turbocharged engine will give Infiniti more head-on competition for the popular BMW 328i.
In Japan the normally-aspirated engine is rated at 210 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, which is competitive with the 3.0-liter inline-6 in the BMW, which is rated at 230 hp and 200 lb-ft. We expect the turbocharged version to be closer to 250hp.
As of now, a G25 coupe and convertible are not planned, but if sales are brisk on the G25 sedan, both will happen.

im sure somethings coming in the form of a 4 door sedan to compete with the m5/e55/etc but this is still a smart idea by infiniti to compete with the 328/c32. if they can price it around $30k, it should do well.
I would rock the hell out of it like I responded in the other post to Veronica. Infiniti is trying to keep up with its competition with other auto makers such as Audi, Bmw, Gm and Ford using turbo's in there new production lines it is only wise for Infiniti to follow Suit. I think the vehicle will sell to alot of enthusiast look at what Ford has done with the SHO and how many SHO fanboys went out and bought them. I think it will be a great addition to the automotive market and to Infiniti's production line.
+1... This is a really smart move. I have been telling my dad not to buy a BMW 328, b/c IMO its overpriced and ugly compared to older 3 series designs. I dont want to give up my G coupe for one, but it will def. bring in a different market segment
