So, guess what...
When I bought my G in 2008, I neglected to check the vehicle history report. Apparently it was a manufacturer buyback/lemon law. I just found this out yesterday. The problem that the car had popped up shortly after I bought the car. After 3 tries, if the manufacturer cannot fix the problem, then they're obligated to buy it back. The manufacturer then sold it at auction, and then they sold it to me. It was on the paperwork I signed, but of course, he didn't tell me before I bought it.
The issue was something with the electrical system and the engine (not ignition). It was throwing codes (two O2 sensors failing at the same time). Orlando Infiniti (back when they were at Lake Destiny Dr) had my car for a week while they worked on it. It was fixed (engine wiring harness replaced among other things) all under warranty. 50k miles later, the car has had no problem whatsoever.
As many of you know, I had decided a couple months ago I was going to sell my car for financial reasons. I have it on Autotrader, but I decided to go to Carmax to have the car appraised, and they offered $10k. KBB and NADA has it at $17k-$20k. If I traded it in for $10k, then I'll be upside down on the loan. So it will damn near impossible for me to sell the G because of that on the title, even though the car is in fine condition and the original problem was fixed under warranty. I guess that's why I was able to get the car for so cheap when I bought it.
I guess I'm keeping the G unless someone wants to buy the car for what it's worth
So...I'm back!
Just annoying to be 100% stock again. Grr...

How much did you purchase the car for?
What do you owe still?

just saw all that sen, sucks. hopefully you can find someone willing to trust you. theres a dealership here in town that buys infinitis like that up north in auction and then sells them down here. sometimes you get lucky and the problem doesnt reappear but its definitely not a risk you want to take.

Yea, at first I was pissed. At them, and then at myself for not checking the report. But oh well, time to get over it. Financially, it would be better just to keep the car. I love it anyways. Not like it's the end of the world to be stuck with it.

Yea your kinda screwed lol.
Either way i think it would have been in your best interest to keep the car . I know payments were high but i think you would have lost money anyways

Yea, time to start from scratch...what's first?!
