You would be at the wrong airport in the wrong town IF you did drive to Orlando.

Yup... sounds like something Ash would do...

Ash: "I'm in Oakland... but I don't see an airport... where are you?"

Me: "I'm at the Oakland airport... in California...."

Ash: "oh..."

The only wood doors that are worth a crap are very expensive and you almost never see them. (Plus with windload regulations, it's hard to even get them anymore. But IDK what windload regulations are in CA)

What brand is your opener? If it's liftmaster, chamberlain or craftsman, there's a plastic gear inside that may be going out. http://www.cornellgaragedoors.com/bl...r-sprocket.jpg
Yea, it's almost entirely wooden doors out here as far as I know. I know it's chain driven, not belt driven, so it might be the gear.

You really can't go wrong with either one. That's the nicest residential motor we install.
What should I expect for a typical install cost on the first one? The guy who replaced the springs & drums quoted me ~$350-$750 (opener + labor combined) for different ones, ranging from the cheapest of the cheap (for steel doors) to 3/4-to-1hp ones for wooden doors.

Mine got chipped a couple weeks ago in I-75.
Hadn't had time to get it repaired and the weather got really cold and it cracked. So now I have about 18" crack across one side

Yeah, mine has had a chip right in the middle ever since I've owned it, but it never splintered. The other one did in less than two weeks :/

I called my ex insurance company to fix my maxima windshield, and they did it without any problems. My current company said they wouldn't fix it if it was cracked under the other insurance.
