Oh by the way... the zclubofflorida site is a WordPress site, if anyone cares.

I was thinking something a little nicer than that though.

But I was thinking those same colors, I like the charcoal. Just needs a little more modern/classy look.

Keep in mind, the membership cost is a win/lose situation. If it is higher, then we have more funds for small things... like appetizers when we go out for food or even for raffle prizes. If this is lower, yeah it will entice more people to join but at the same time it lowers the benefits...

Like i said, i dont have much to bring to the table but i am more than willing to talk to shops/resturants in the area to get some discounts. Im sure a few smaller mom&pop type of shops in the sanford area would be more than willing to help us out in return for our business... plus we would have plenty of parking on the lake front... (and other places of course, this just being an example)

True on the win lose for lower membership fees but not every member every meet will be able to attend for some of the "benefits". Just saying.

When you say lower/raise the fees? What was the initial cost to join the club? How did you go about getting to that number?

Also, let's see this logo! Not sure if the shirt is the same that was handed out in Gainesville a year n a half ago or so? I know mine is pretty well worn, time for a new G shirt! $10 for paying members, $20 for non-members. Maybe something cool too, like what dorkidori offers..we don't have to have just ONE club shirt. I thought the idea of a Jax shirt would be cool too, where we can each set ourselves apart from eachother, yet part of the same thing as a whole.

Also, I think the idea of the directors/prez having their own forum is a good idea, and maybe take the things you mull over on there and bring it here for paying members to vote on. Again, another benefit of joining.

I don't mind helping Lyndon out with Jax stuff, but as I've said, I'll be leaving in January next year. He seems to have it pretty well taken care of though.

Last thing, for a master member list, why not just make a database (using access) and some forms to 'add members' or 'remove members' etc, etc. it wouldn't be hard and should be fairly user-friendly once finished.

It's still early, hope this made sense..

cards - making vendors verify the work is a pain, you dont want to hassle a business. the whole point of a physical card is verification enough. you keep it to yourself and we dont have to worry about anyone trying to make fake 1s. give them the option to verify though isnt a bad idea.

forums - agree that the main forums need to stay here. the big thing we need is the calendar functionality. driver has 1 right now, is there a way to maybe get a private fgc calendar here? id like the website to be basic info and rotate pics with a members list but i really dont want to pull away from driver. we already have a members only and directors only forum.

shirts/logo - i like the current 1, lets use it for the rest of 2011 at the very least. problem with making personalized or even just new stuff is extra cost. its cheaper to do that stuff in bulk. what we do need is new cards to hand out with the new logo, website info, etc.

^ I like that logo a lot.

Can someone send me either a very high-rez jpg/gif or a vector format?

Fair enough... but appointing officers/controlling level of access/etc etc etc works purely at this site's admin's discretion (admins that have kinda shuffled around quite a lot lately) and also this site hasn't exactly been what you would call "stable" lately.

I do agree that most of the traffic should stay here though.

Hi, Ashely. I sent you an email with logo pictures and adobe illustrator file of logo.

Gettinby, I attached a sample of the logo in this post. Top picture is on the back of the shirt while bottom pic is on the front.

We had only made these shirts in white.
