Cards should have both actual and screen name.
That wouldn't be that hard to do through the website.
We could give everyone a member number, and have a simple link vendors could use to type in a member number, screen name, etc... and the program would check against a database and quickly display if the member was active (paid up) or not.
If we did ID cards, we could add a QR code and a vendor could check their memebership status with just a simple scan with a smart phone.
The interface would be plenty easy to design, and I wouldn't mind doing it.

Just an idea :
In n.y. The club I belong to is otsz
We used shift #'s
Example :
I was "SHIFT_27"
And most members sported their #'s on their rear upper corner of their rear glass
I don't think theyl mind if we do the same here

One question. Chicken or the Egg? At what point is there enough value for people to actually pay and not free load like in the past? I mean I would hate to cause this big uproar, elect new directors, get new sponsors, spend money on shirts, stickers, cards, banners, etc and still no one pay.

The card would look awesome if you made one side of the card all black with the FGC logo. Just like you have in that box ontop of the address.
