the board adds positions if im correct. im not looking to make up a bunch of nonsense titles. we have a pres, vp, treasurer and directors. director is an all encompassing title that includes organizing meets. with that said, i am down to add 2-3 new directors who do a good job keeping up activity. we've done this on a rotating basis as people come and go.

now the catch 22 is this: no one wants to put a ton of effort into the club to have minimal participation, but no one wants to join something that isnt that organized. so if you guys agree, i think all active "members" (even if you dont pay cause no one has in forever), take steps towards getting the club organized. we will leave it as an open forum so that we can get a majority consensus on ideas as we move forward. once we feel that we have a solid base (site, logo, tshirts, BENEFITS!, etc) established, we can take a shot at actively collecting dues. sound fair?

 

Lots of good ideas and talk. Now who's gonna take the ball and run with it? This will be a very positive change for everyone involved.

 

why do we need to add more directors? why dont we just replace them with people that are more active in the club ??? jus sayn

I agree with the direction this is going. I have been around since 2006 and watched this club just keep falling apart. I do not want a director position, but i would like to help out here in orlando. I am about done with my degree at UCF and can dedicate some more time to things around here...

Lol I agree. Like I said I would like Ian to stay as Active CFL Director, He does his job well. Ninja edits here and there and hes always up to date with us.

 

And I agree with what W0ady said. Lets all start taking steps torwards getting everything made. I got a friend who makes custom stickers for dirt cheap and I can probobly get him to do a package deal with us. As for shirts, we need to find a vendor to do those.

 

Good idea woady no dues until evrything is set in stone, everyone needs to help out.

I think it's only fair Ian is either treasurer or CFL and not both, he had had those positions for some time now. It's only fair to give others a shot. But let's see what Ian wants, let him chime in.

Ilovez33- stickers( after Lennox is finished with a design)



Who has hook up on shirts?

 

i think things should happen in this order:

1. logo/site - so we can actually draw attention to ourselves as an active group.
2. benefits - what do you guys want as part of club membership? be realistic. and part of this is what do you think are adequate dues?
3. shirts/cards/etc - only once we have solid ideas should we spend club $ on solid products. i know we have some left although ian and i were going to blow it at the strip club.
4. membership/dues - once we get all the above sorted, i think its fair to start asking people to pay again. i just dont want to do all this and then have people back out on paying...

right now its dan, veronica, ian, chad and myself as far as i can tell. who do you want to kick out?

 

i think ian handled the last set of shirts. they were pretty good quality if we can get a similar sort of deal with the same company. didnt they also do the stickers?

 

i would like to do and take car of all events/shows/meets around my area ...

im going to S&R tomorrow and will talk to them about some of this ... also ill talk to justin from redline designs about making up some stickers as well and i know he will give us awesome deals on them.

i really think i would play a good roll on the florida G club and im ready to start making changes as soon as we get all this figured out

 

If you guys can get this going and get it back to a very active club, I would like to join.

 

Sweet Prospective member already :-P Ill get to kicking on getting the stickers and seeing what I can do on shirts. Im also planning some summer meets right now. Its been awhile since we had a big one, Me and Snoops Ft. DeSoto meet was the last big one I remember
