Florida G Club Reorganization
It would be nice to have a yearly or twice-yearly official FGC meet in Gainesville. It's a nice central location between the panhandle, JAX, Tampa and Orlando. Once you go very far south of that, it's kinda in the SFGC area
also, i agree that lyndon (w0ady) would be a great candidate for the prez position. not only has he been around for awhile, brown, and extremely active, he can recruit better than any i've seen (by this i mean pick up dudes..).
i like the direction this thread is taking and hopefully it's more than just words. i'm not a paid member due to the lack of benefits and organization of the club. if things start to pick up, you've got my $$.
i wish there was a way i could help, but i'm pretty useless. i know jason (aboostedg) is in the process or already has started up his own tshirt business. if he goes to C&C tomorrow i'll try to bring it up with some of the more executive people.
as for the benefits of membership, tshirt & stickers is about all i want. somethin to wear to meets, and somethin on my car to show my FGC pride!
and yeah, i really like the gainesville meets. pretty central and ends up being one of the only chances we get guys from each region of the state to come together! we just need at least a set month or months, say june and january.
^I agree that a month/months should be set, but I don't think June/Jan is a great idea.
June is hot as blazes and Jan can be meh.
Spring and Fall would be nice, though spring can be busy and more of a chance for rain. But I think we could probably find a dry weekend though.

i think things should happen in this order:
1. logo/site - so we can actually draw attention to ourselves as an active group.
2. benefits - what do you guys want as part of club membership? be realistic. and part of this is what do you think are adequate dues?
3. shirts/cards/etc - only once we have solid ideas should we spend club $ on solid products. i know we have some left although ian and i were going to blow it at the strip club.
4. membership/dues - once we get all the above sorted, i think its fair to start asking people to pay again. i just dont want to do all this and then have people back out on paying...

Lets not think of it as kicking out people but replacing them. Dan is busy with life and so is Veronica. So I think we can replace those positions that are absent.
So First things first, logo/site and lets get this positions situated. Can someone who is close to Ian ask if he still wants to be Treasurer of CFL?
I kinda like the logo from the site but I feel the website needs to be completly updated..past events from 2+ years ago can be taken off imo and lets start fresh..
I will start taking pictures around me at meets/events and get something going from now on ..
Ricky does great with orlando pictures so he should keep up with that...:-)
I also agree on a huge Gainesville meet of ALL florida and team up with SFGC as well and we also can have our fgc meet/event for ourselves.
I would like to get lokey back into this sponsor and have a huge gathering there one day in the future.
I would like to have bbq's and more tech days with everyone :-)
Everyone seemed to love the ft desoto meet Ricky and I put together and I would love for us to do this again since it was a awesome turnout..
The people who have responsibility in the fgc needs to either step up or step to the side .. cause imo members are running off and could care a less about the club.. but I think us all together and help and support we can get this club back to the top.
With everything being said in this thread I don't want any people with rank to come in here and bust ***** and think people are talking sheet.

Bingo. I was a member a couple years ago. Never saw anything come from it. No t-shirt, no stickers, no cards, nada. I failed to see what my money was sponsoring.
