Also I just did belt changes and rear diff flush at Lokey Infiniti last weekend, yesterday my "service engine soon" light came on, do you guys think its time for plugs or should I take to the dealer and find out wut is wrong? This just happened yesterday.

when you go to auto zone or where ever you get your plugs, have them scan the ecu and pull the code so you know whats wrong. No need for the dealer to charge you for this when AZ does it for free. As for plugs, go with NGK. Doesn't matter if they are platinum, double platinum, laser welded platinum, iridium, super special fantastic iridium, etc lol. Just get something good from NGK. You wont see any differences among models but the NGK quality is always great.

I think I got the laser welded NGK platinum. They are like $10 a plug but I only did it because I needed something more expensive to get the next level coupon code offer from online orders at advance making them cheaper than the $7 ones.

i just came from auto Zone and they did the ecu check and it gave a code"P1285".
They looked it up on their computer but it didn't give them info for nissan/Infiniti, the only suggestions it provided were for other models BMW,GM,Volkswagon,Mazda etc.

Anyone have a list of troupble codes that can tell me wut the code P1285 means. I am concerned now, please help with any info

are you sure the code is p1285? I don't think that is a valid code for our cars

well i got the results today, code is P1283, lokey diagnosed it and the code is for a low reading on the passenger side A/F sensor (B2).They reset the computer and eliminated the service engine soon light. The cost for that is $447. Of coarse im not going to get fixed there if I can do it myself. Anybody has done this on their cars?

Thanks for all the input guys, but definitley gonna do the spark plugs after i come back from vacation.

Replacing an O2 sensor can't possibly be that hard.

O2 sensors are a 7/8ths IIRC, but I use a O2 sensor socket(4.99 at harbor freight in 1/2" drive)

I'm running NGK V-powers on my G, they are super cheap and we run them on everything from our race cars to toy boats and everything in between.

when i put stillen pipes on i got ses light. i purchase non-foulers and reset ecu but code did not go away. ended up being fuse from in cabin fuse box, driver kik panel, for o2 sensors had popped out of the fuse tray. replaced fuse and ses light went away.

I got the same p1283 code A/F Bank(2). I was going to change the sensor too. Is this the one located on the passenger side headers?
