Hey everyone I am looking to get an Air Compressor for various reasons but the main one would be to easily remove my lug nuts and switch wheels as fast as possible; any one have an idea of how much PSI it would take to remove the lugs? Or is there a better way besides the standard tools Infiniti gives you?? Thanks!

^^^ i dont use a gun AT ALL for my lug nuts period !!! im sure alot of the other guys dont either .

when putting the wheels on i use my tourqe wrench and have it set at 80 pounds so i know they wont break and they will come off easy

i can take a set of wheels of on my car by the time you keep the tank full and move it around everywhere...

manual labor never hurts anyone.. better to be safe then snapping studs ..

but i do have a air tank for bolts under the car when im working and thats about all i use it for and i have my tank set at 180psi and i very nice impact gun ...

i used it the other day on my buddies nissan stock wheels and lug nuts and it worked just fine

What Sn00p said, Saves you from stripping a stud, Plus impact guns can damage the paint around where the lug nut is. I specfically told a shop not to use an impact gun on my TE's and the dumbass still did it and they ended up chipping part of the paint....

Yeah exactly it will be more trouble later! The gun is defiantly out, I couldnt risk hurting my girl like that. Thanks for the advice. How about when I go to jack up the car, and remove the wheels i was gonna go get 4 jack stands and a nice 3 ton floor jack...any suggestions for some technique better than this?

invest in a battery powered 3/8'' rachet. when you break loose the lug nuts you can use it to take them off instead of by hand

make sure you get short jack stands.

You guys worry too much. Gun can be used to remove the lugs but NEVER to put them on. Use a torque wrench for that. As long as the gun has a socket that fits inside the area for the lug without scraping you are fine. Then wrap some electrical tape around the socket for extra protection.
