sometimes i seriously hate my droid x. it dies all the time. sometimes i'll be halfway through my day and be at 20%.
when it dies i plug it in. sometimes it turns right back on and sometimes, no matter what I do and how many times I press the power button the damn thing will just not turn back on.

I used to kill mine really fast because I used it so much.
Just grab an extra battery off ebay (make sure it's an OEM Motorola BH5X)
Should be <$10
And then a stand-alone battery charger (this one works great, just don't use the USB plug on it) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120658472374At night, throw a battery in the stand-alone, and also plug the phone in. In the morning, pull the spare battery and throw it in your purse.
Whenever you kill the first battery, swap them out, and you're good to go without having to be tied to a stupid charger.
Also splitting your use/charging between two batteries means you won't wear our the battery as quick (you know how after a while they don't hold their charge very long, etc...)
Man you guys are running some serious specs on those PC's..I bet that 1600 ram is real nice by the way! Still prefer my 2007 MacBook pro to any PC I work on...
Um buy an iPhone...A4 processor uses very little power or buy the new one iPhone coming out in a month.
By the way good morning everyone!!

Easy solution.

This!!
The X has no trouble holding a charge all day... but if you use ANY phone at the rate V does (seen this in person) it's gonna die.
And when an iPhone dies, you have NO CHOICE but to be tethered to a charger.
When my Droid dies, I pop off the back cover swap out the battery for a hot one, and I'm good to go for another 12+ hr (or in V's case 5hr LOL)
Plus, when the battery starts wearing out (all li-ion batteries do) with the Droid, you have the option of just throwing the battery away and picking up a brand new one for $10 or less.
And don't claim that the iPhone doesn't have that problem. Everything with a lithium-ion battery does this. My old boss had an iPhone for a year and complained that it just did not hold a charge like it used to. I told him I had the same problem with my phone and just swapped to a new battery I bought for $6 and it was good-as-new.
