Awesome December Thread
Well 10.5 years at my current job and I got a $40 Target gift card. Merry effing Christmas.
I ran Megan LTs for a while, if you search Youtube for something like "APS exhaust Long tubes" mine is the Silver G, we uploaded a ton of videos. They weren't much louder than test pipes but much smoother sounding. Made about the same peak power but gained 12-14rwhp at 6500rpm+
Cams are just too much of a hassle IMHO, unless you are just die hard NA.

I was looking at the PPE ones i just havent decided if i want to drop the 1000 for em and i thought about megan Long tubes cause i already have their TPs. I have a friend of mine who offered me a set of no name headers installed for $300 just dont know if i want the hastle ive already done all the other exhaust mods. Rob, have you guys done any dyno testing with Cams on a vortech setup? Basically my end goal is 400WHP on the 5at with as little boost as possible im trying to keep things reliable since she is my daily. So i figured i would just do all the bolt ons pripor to getting the supercharger to get me there. In your experience Rob would you think i need anything else to make 400WHP i already have plenum spacer, test pipes, and cat back.
Cams would benefit a Vortech setup a lot because of the linear boost curve and cams bump your peak volumetric efficiency up into the higher rpm (higher boost), but the question is, is it worth the cost/hassle. Do you already have a Vortech? If so you would have to uninstall it then because the 7-9hour process of installing cams.
I've actually been working on putting together a *real* complete Vortech kit, a kit you could buy without having to research what to replace, and buy extra parts since the Vortech "complete" kit is garbage.
Feel free to PM me

The megans weren't bad, and actually a friend of mine is running them on his Vortech G now. He made 427rwhp on a stock pulley rev-up with a Kinetix plenum(which I highly suggest for FI) my old Megan Longtubes, and HKS (authentic) exhaust. I have never dealt with a FI 5AT personally, so I cant say "with X mods you will make Xrwhp" because I haven't done it.

I would actually be interested in that i was originally going to get a tuner kit from assualt tech for $3700 then go Osiris for EMS and 550cc injector with a 255 walbro to feed them and end up almost the same price as a complete kit but with better fuel parts and EMS but if your going to do an all in one kit that takes the head ache out of ordering everything seperatly. Im also interested to see you guys do a twin kit and had a few ideas for one if you guys were interested in doing that.
As far as a twin kit, we have always talked about it, and even my car is pretty much a custom kit only using some of the original APS components. We just don't have the time to get around to it, and GTM already has a great TT solution available anyway.

Looking forward to seeing you there! But I think you may be confusing Z Nationals (our event) and ZdayZ. Z Nationals in the first week of October in Carrollton Ga, while ZdayZ is in May in North Carolina.
I believe their $3750 kit is for rev-up only, which with you being a non-revup 5AT that wouldn't work. So your looking at the $4k non-revup kit. The additional parts you mentioned are just some of what i'm looking at adding in our kit (along with a lot of optional upgrades). I hope to make a good bit of progress on putting this together tomorrow and next week. I already have the components I would like to offer chosen.
