^ Yeah back in 2009 when I went, the Tampa group left around 3-4am, we left orlando at 4am, and everyone met up at the I-10 and I-75 interchange with the jax group... Not sure if they will do something similar again this year but I don't want to get up that early

Our caravan will depart the Tampa area at 3:00am Wednesday May 16th

Please fuel up and get snacks before arriving at the designated meeting place.


2:30-2:55a.m.-Meet at the rest stop at Mile Marker # 278 on the right side of the road (just past Exit 275). It offers plenty of parking, bathrooms, and vending machines.

7:00a.m.-7:30a.m.- Arrive at Exit #18 in Valdosta, Georgia for gas/food/bathroom stop. This stop offers Starbucks, many fast food eateries and plenty of gas stations to chose from.

Depart at 7:30a.m. for Buford, Georgia and the Mall of Georgia area.

12-12:30p.m.- Arrive at Buford Mall area I-985 Exit #4
Our lunch choices are large so I've narrowed it down to a few. We can split up or eat as a group. I expect our arrival time to be close to noon so we can take our time and eat and relax since Fontana Village is only 3hrs from Buford, Ga.

That's the Tampa group... I will be leaving lake mary around 2:30am. Goinf I4-> Fl turnpike -> I75 where i will meet them at like 3:20am

I agree Ashley. Nuts. In 2009 I left at 4am and in 2011 I left at midnight...... I am going to try to avoid that if possible.

I was thinking about leaving Orlando around 7-8am. It's a 10-11 hour drive depending on who I'm with and how many times we have to stop for gas, food, and restrooms. That would put us getting to Fontana between 5-7pm. I don't think it's necessary to get there any earlier, idk

I am planning to get there at around ~5pm Wednesday Night, so id Leave 4-5am from here.

 

Ok, talked to my group and we should be in Buford at 1-2PM on Wed, so if that works out right, maybe we can cruise the rest of the way with the Tampa convoy.

 

Buford is 8 hrs from my house.... if I left my house at 6am I'd be in Buford by 2pm (with no stopping lol). Hmmmmmm.

Hm idk, depends on how the PC convoy is doing. I kinda wanted to catch the Tampa Z convoy, but that may not work out, idk.

Danny when did you plan on leaving? I was thinking about caravaning with some of the guys in miami and i think they are leaving Wednesday night? idk... I still don't know what I'm gonna do.

 

Hey Tampa crew... what route are you guys planning on taking from Buford Mall to Fontana?

 

I am going to leave here at 3:45am on Wed and get there when ever, I paid for a night for wed so ill be there.

Looking at the weather its looking like it might rain in the PM so hopefully it wont bother us too much.
