How about this idea?- we do this all the time with a charity I am involved with.

At the event, separate boxes or containers could be set up on a table. Each box is labeled "Zaino", "Spolier or Sat Radio", "Oil Cap" etc. When you purchase your raffle tickets, you can place them in the corresponding box for the prize you are interested in. That way, your tickets are not "wasted" on the unwanted items.

Maybe then, we can get some of you to buy MORE tickets!

I saw it....

I was on the phone with a vendor and typing the post at the same time- you must've beat me to it. I wouldn't worry about separating ticket numbers, though. Just get the 2-part tickets, and when someone buys them they put the "drop ticket" in the box for whatever they want. Of course, some items will have less tickets in the box but that doesn't matter.

Sounds like a good plan. I'll head to the dollar store and see if I can find some cheap plastic fish bowls and some raffle tickets.

i think my post got missed with 2 posts 30seconds later

i like John's plan is best so that everyone will see how many tickets are going for each item (not just Neff )
then at the end we can throw them all together and raffle the small items (i know its suppose to be big items last but they already screwed up the raffle so no one cry)

No problem. HOWEVER, the special price on the 7 for $52.50 will NOT be available at the meet. I'm not sure how long I will run this, but it's not going to be for long. Especially if I get one or two more MAJOR PRIZES... The phrase "the early bird catches the worm" comes to mind.

Neff,
I'm not sure how your going to distribute the tickets but I would recommend giving ONLY the people who BUY the tickets their tickets at Lokey. You can have a spreadsheet with the person's name and how many tickets they bought to make it real easy. I like the idea of the fish bowls to drop the tickets in. If I understood your post it sounds like you are planning on giving everyone 4 tickets that joins Florida G35 Club. It doesn't make it fair to the guys or girls who spend 50 or 100 bucks on tickets. I would only give tickets to whoever buys them.

If I may make a comment, I saw that as well, G35Sean. Neffster, since you are going to separate the prizes for the drawings I would probably stay away from giving 4(or whatever tickets). Maybe if you want to give 2 or something, but don't feel obligated to do the 4 for the membership. Sean is right, people are paying way more than this for separate tickets. Don't sell yourself short on this opportunity to generate ADDITIONAL revenue for your club- remember, you probably won't be in a position to sell raffle tickets but for once or twice A YEAR. Also remember that your initial dues fee has already been proven somewhat "short". What a great way here to get that revenue where it needs to be.

People join the club because they want to, and a raffle ticket or two is yet ANOTHER bonus of joining. If people want more- they buy them. Just my $.02 .........

BTW- I called your friend back with the shirt co. info. Should be good to go there!

I do agree with John's idea as far as using the extra tickets to raise more funds for the club. BUT if any of us don't want to purchase additional tickets (I'd love to but I won't since I don't have the car), do we get to choose which bowl to place our ticket(s) in?

Yes

This is getting somewhat confusing... How about people PM me with suggestions that haven't been made and I'll post the details once everything is worked out. I'm going to try to have this thread locked for the time being.
