In other news... Egg Saver sucks again, My Drive was suppose to come in yesterday, and no not today. Its just sitting for no damn reason. So I hope tomorrow they will put it in the "Today bin" ...

Yep, SSD's ftw pretty much you will see that quickness with any decent SSD. Only times you see differences will be in benchmarks.
Nice, Sandforce though lol, I was looking at the F3 but that turned me away.
Lol, My laptop is from early 08, Does that Vaio from 06 has Sata II?
There was actually a few different things model to model with my Line of Laptop(Toshiba A300) which could hurt performance wise.
Lucky for me(well I did choose some upgrades which correlated to Centrino ), mine is considered a Centrino platform Laptop more specifically its the Santa Rosa Refresh. Which basically means I get a special chipset. Instead of getting a GM45 or the GM965 Chipsets which have a different controller and an IGP. I get the PM965 with a great(at the time) controller, the Desktop ICH8M which gives me full Sata II speeds and full TRIM support where as the other chipsets had issues with TRIM(2 years ago). Also if I had the other chipsets I would of been bumped to Sata I speeds even though they are capable for Sata II just for power savings.
None the less, even if you are capped at SATA I speeds a SSD will make your computer much much faster. Since I have two HD slots in my comp I can easily run my SSD with my 320gb data drive.

lol yea it sucks. Do you have the Intel RST driver installed? I am guessing no. Do you know what controller you have?
Intel RST > 06 Driver that windows installs by default.

lol get http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
click Motherboard, whats your chipset and southbrige?
Also you can see if you are running in Sata I or II with this program (Click Hard Drive) and look for "transfer mode"
Also do you know if you have your HD in IDE mode or AHCI? (In the BIOS) , this is important. If you have no idea go to your BIOS and check if you have the option most likely you do. If its in IDE mode do not change it to AHCI mode.
You have to first change a registry value then go into the BIOS and change it to AHCI. If you select AHCI and Windows was installed in IDE mode then you will BSOD until you change it back to IDE. Changing the Registry Key will make it all work

^ Once you figure out the AHCI or IDE mode. And its in AHCI mode you will want to install, http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ology&lang=eng
If you cannot get it into AHCI mode then you cannot install this driver. And dont worry it does a check, if your chipset is not supported it will not install. It supports ICH7M chipset. If it does not work we can try an older driver.

I have had the most annoying day, shop trying to tack on 15-20% to the wheels I'm ordering, managers micro managing me (a manager) and now the people taking care of my horse are pissing me off again. i can't wait to have him on my property so I can take care of him myself. /rant
