Website Upgrade process
Hey guys and gals,
Ok after spending some time on the phone with both Todd and Jeff, here is where we stand. The current domain (floridaG35club.com) is locked on Jeff's acount for about 30 more days. We went through a few options that would allow me to take control of the site sooner but for both finacial and legal reasons its better if we just wait those 30days out before getting a hosting company to host the site.
However I do have a geocities account and will have Jeff forward the domain directly to my geocities account until we have a host. There will be an ad in the upper right everytime you goto the page but you can just close it out and see the page as normal.
The current page is not much different from Jeff's original design but I will begin working on a better one and "hopefully" I can have it completed in 30days but dont hold your breath (school is starting and I have other club things to work on).
for those that cant wait until Jeff gets the forwarding setup you can see the page at:

I think a black background with silver text would be best (to match the shirts). If this was already discussed in another thread, sorry I haven't had a chance to read all of them yet.
Yeah sean...i will have a color scheme for the final product...but most of the logos are on a white BG and sometimes it takes alot of work to switch them and have them still look good so i wanted an updated site first before attacking that.
BTW...i just added the onMouseOvers for both Lokey and ISI...check it out...nothing glamirous yet but u'll get the idea of what i'll have for all sponsors that offer more for our members.

On the orig page, the logos are in table cells. Just set the background color of each cell to white (or whatever color you want). For example, the attribute to set to white would be:
bgcolor="#FFFFFF"
in the table definition {TD} tag.
That will also make all the logos appear to be the same width and more uniform.
hope that helps.
Red... Wes means that instead of the logos being clear aside from what we see as the logo, it is actually white. So if you change the background color of the webpage, or table it will have a white box around the logo which looks tacky.

im planning to change the page to "club colors" whatever they might be
Therefore the cell bg needs to be that color too and therefore the image bg
hopefully it wont take too much...the Zaino will because the way the image is detached from itself and i gotta see what looks best. the Lokey shouldnt take much but I may just figure out the font and redo it otherwise it would look bold and wont fade like all fonts do
I'm also figuring out my layout...i dont think todd would approve a "changing sponsor box" in the top left so I may just keep them on the left and resort to frames
UPDATE:
i have changed to frames
BUT since they often look different on everyone's computer I want everyone to verify I did it right. I dont want anything cut-off and no one scrolling left to right. Please check this out and then if its a go....i'll move that route

I can see everything left to right. I don't know if your concerned with top to bottom but I can see down to the middle of the word "club" in G35 Club. The only people who may have a problem with left to right is someone with a 15' monitor.
