Morning boys. So.... I have a dilemma... I can't find the wheel lock key to my lugs on the Vossens.... It was in my glove box and now it's gone...

Here's the order of events:
1) My wheels get stolen so I borrowed Max's wheels. I didn't want HIS wheels to get stolen too, so I bought a set of 4 locks with a key from Advance or Auto Zone.
2) My Vossens arrived and so we swapped the wheels. So, I purchased a set of 20 locking tuner lugs. The key from the FIRST SET of locks happened to work on the NEW set.... Which was kind of disappointing at the time because I wondered, how many other people have the same key???

So...

Option 1) Go buy another set of locks and hope that the key fits
Option 2) Shove a socket on these lugs and probably ruin them and then go buy another set of locks

Anyone else have any other ideas?? This has to get done either tonight or tomorrow night!! Ack!

 

Shemi and I have the same problem. They make a tool to break the lugs off. If you're not carefull you will get some reaming in the inside of the hole but that's about it. Usually get that from using and impact anyway.

 

Ps more expensive means less people have them. I've seen a few people use two different keys on the same rim. Pain in the *** but effective. They were usually on rims not worth stealling.
