G35/350Z track night

instead of posting up a track event a week or so ahead of time and having few people show...lets plan one ahead of time so we can have a good showing. it could be a G35/350Z track night??? so ill start...

May 6th: 1/4 mile drag racing at OSW (Bithlo). this would be the night before the dyno day. whos in?

Look at the time dabomb's post was made at, then ask why he posted it I think he previously mentioned he might be in KC that week, so unless he's racing his coupe in GT4, I don't know how he can run at the track that night

It's probably going to be bad timing for the people with families. I know one of us was getting some heat for the time he's been spending with the group and I was feeling a little guilty after last weekend being gone Friday night and then for a few hours on Saturday.

I'm sure the families wouldn't mind as much if you guys skipped the 3 hours of poker after the track

Sure, going home after everyone is already in bed and asleep is a great way to win over the wife and kids... It doesn't matter if it's 10pm or 2am, as long as I'm up at 6am with the rest of the family I'm in the clear. It's just when I give someone my word I REALLY want to keep it (like the "honey, I'll be home for dinner" promise). Fortunately we all wend out to a nice restaurant last Saturday evening for a late dinner and everything turned out ok.

All's cool now, just have to see if this Friday will be ok. At this point it's kind of early to tell.

Well to each his own, it wasn't directed at you in particular, but all I was saying is that if I did have a family, 3 hours on a weekend sure as heck would matter..

Ok back on topic...

So...a week and a day left. Who's going?? I'll be getting off around 4pm that day. So I might even be able to go to the Friday dinner meets and then head to the track after.

duc?

I'm not sure if I'll make it or not. I'm having my floors "leveled" that afternoon. I was going to change out my heavy 19's for my lighter 18's for the dyno day, but I won't take the 18's to the track. They're pretty bald and I can't get any traction with them on. Odds are I'll sit this one out, but we'll have to wait and see.

Not having a kitchen or a garage really messes up the car club plans. Hopefully I'll have my floor jack back from DABOMB so that I can swap out my wheels by then.
