Hello FGC Members,

This is the official thread with the finalized details about the 2nd all-Florida FGC meet.

Where: Markham Park (Map) - Shelter #1 (see attachment below for shelter location)
When: June 11, 2005
Time: 10am - no later than 7:30pm


Shelter Details:

Shelter #1 seats 80 people, has private parking, and is secluded from most of the park. There are about 40 paved parking spots plus a huge grass area that we are allowed to park on. Parking will NOT be an issue.

There is a water connection if you would like to arrive early to do any washing or detailing, but there is NO ELECTRICITY. If anyone has a battery operated stereo that would be great. We are not allowed to have "loud music" but we are so secluded that we could play it loud enough for us all to hear and no one else would.

There is a volleyball court directly behind our shelter and area for horseshoes. Racquetball, pool, canoeing, boating, biking, etc. are all at the park but are on the other side or a good walk away. There is also a few big trees so plenty of shade for those that may not be directly under the shelter.


Food Details:

The main reason why the meet thread most of you signed up in was closed is because the FGC directors have decided to have the event catered by Shorty's and we need the number of attendees in order to know exactly how much food to order. The charge for the lunch will be $5 per FGC MEMBER anmd $10 per non-member and the money will be collected at the meet.

The meal will consist of:

• BBQ Beef Sandwiches
• Salads
• Baked Beans
• Coleslaw
• Potato Salad
• Corn on the Cob
• Rolls
• Drinks (non-alcoholic)
• & Dessert

Please register and indicate the number of guests you will be bringing (if any). Adding your name (+ number of guests) to the attendee list is an automatic agreement to pay the $5 per person for the catered lunch. If you would rather not purchase lunch and provide your own food, please state so next to your name. As always, alcohol will not be permitted at an FGC event.
