Exhaust Question

I am thinking of switching out my stock exhaust and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/experience. i have the Injen SES TD on my z and love it but think it might be a little too loud for the luxury of the g. i was looking at the greddy sp2 cause i can get that for like 350 or less from a friend that does wholesale. so any input would be greatly apprecieated. oh also are there any benifits besides sound that i would get from changing the exhaust. i would be doing the install myself.

thanks
andrew

Some exhaust systems are lighter than stock. Performance wise, minimal horsepower gains will be had by changing to any aftermarket exhaust system (this is my oppinion). The restriction does not lie in our exhaust mufflers but rather in our catalytic converters.

The Greddy Sp2 looks great (sound I can't remember), but doesn't make any power. PM club member, Omi, to see how he liked it.

Here is a website with some sound clips of different exhaust systems on the 350Z:

http://www.zfilms.org/SportZMag/DynoDay2003/

The exhaust systems I would recommend are:

Invidia G200
Fujitsubo Legalis R or Ti
HKS Hi-Power Ti
Greddy EvoII

Now the question remains how much are you willing to spend? The cheapest i've listed is the Invidia...

or you could be like me and prowl around the internet for a used sub $500 dollar Borla true dual exhaust...

I think I've seen and heard the new HKS Hi-Power Exhaust a few times before on the G. Sounds kinda calm (and stock) under normal driving condition but, under WOT that thing sounds like a wild beast on steriods!!!

Mike (Skyline_05) is getting the HKS put on this weekend. Hopefully he will read this and give his opinion.
