traffic is not too bad on weekends but you have to go way south, then way west. there's no direct route, plus to get to I-95 from AIA, takes at least 15min.

OK, that's it. I'm driving home. It's not worth the potential damage to not drive home. If I get too tired I'll stop half way, but it's only 3.75 hours one way.

This means I'll leave around 6am, get there by 10am... stay until 4pm and go out to eat. Leave dinner by 6pm and be home by 10pm. I'll be tired, but my G won't get vandalized!

It takes me between 3-3.5 hours to get to Oviedo and FYI I live even further south of I595. I guess I'm used to driving it, but it's not a long trip at all.

If you stay at a nice hotel like Hardrock you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you stay at the Crap-o-Shack Inn you may have to worry. Is anyone else considering Hardrock?

IF I go to this, and decide to overnight it, I'd probably join you at the Hard Rock, Sean. I've got to see if I am going to be able to pull this off, and then check with Adam and our buddy to see what they are doing.

I'll let you know...

John-I will talk to Adam tomorrow night. I know Mike (Skyline_05) is trying to find out where everyone's staying.

Wes-It's only $200/night if you stay by yourself.

I'm open for suggestion on somewhere less expensive but I still need a nice place with a spa to keep the wife busy on Saturday.

I am still unsure on whether or not I will stay overnight for the June 11th trip. My decision may depend on the guests I bring (if I bring any). I don't think Hark Rock is an option for me either. Maybe i'll just sleep in the G. Fold down the back seat and camp out...j/k

Man! Bring your wives to the meet. Debbie and Stacy had fun at the last meet. I even think Russ' wife had a good time once we all started picking on each other.

If I can get my parents to watch the kids on Friday night and Saturday night, Debbie and I are planning on getting up early on Saturday and driving down. On the way back we'll stop and get a room near Stuart (or somewhere close to there). We'll stay there on Saturday night and finish driving back on Sunday after breakfast. There ought to be some nice hotel suite for ~$100 somewhere on the way back. If one of you wants to split a room with us and have the other 1/2 of the suite, let me know. I'll start looking for EMBASSY SUITES hotels along I-95 later on today.

*That reminds me. See the Friday (5-20) CFL dinner and maybe something afterwards... thread for more details...

There should be a decent hotel in SFL for $100. I used to stay at the Marriott in Aventura for the same money and the neighborhood is as nice as it gets, so I wouldn't be worried about the car. I see 745's at Motel 8 when I drive on US1... As long as you stay away from most parts of Dade you're safe. If I only had an extra room I would gladly let a couple of people stay over.
