Well if I must, but I think grounding everything like the LLC and the amp to the ECU should be our first thing we try. If that fails, I'll just break down and try anything! That is unless the whine of the S/C overpowers the whine of the altinator through the speakers.

Personally, I'd avoid disrupting the ground points for the ECU. They can be quite sensitive, and if they become compromised (by dirt, corrosion, or any other connectivity issues) you can become plagued with false DTCs and the accompanying 'Service Engine Soon' lights.

Instead, ground every component of your audio system to a single ground point somewhere on the chassis. Just don't share it with the ECU. Your results will be the same.

Neff,
There is a very good grounding point if you drop down the panel below the steering wheel. 10mm bolt right to the chassis in there. Also, if these are not working the way you want, don't hesitate to call me on that score. I want to make sure you are happy with em.
