Got my G tinted... Creative Carz is awesome!

Well I finally tinted my G (20% Llumar all around) on Saturday. Dexter is one of the coolest people to deal with. As some of us know (and others ought to find out), his work is exceptional! He took his time, and the end result was absolutely amazing. When I left his shop, I noticed a pretty big blemish on my rear passenger side window, and I called him up, and he told me to come back in. I though it was a scratch, but ended up being a bubble. He heated the area and squeegeed it, and it was gone. On my way back home, I saw another G that had is windows half way down, and from 2 lanes over I noticed the gap from the tint to the top of the window... and couldn’t help but think to myself "not me, mine are micro edged" , and made me once again appreciate the quality of Dexter's craftsmanship. Once again, thanks to Dexter, and I would definitely recommend Creative Carz to anyone who wants their car tinted. Sorry for the long story, it’s just that quality work is hard to come by nowadays... in 2 weeks I will be back to get tints on my girlfriend's Scion Tc.

Rey

Funny thing is that ALL of the club sponsors are really this particular. From the performance side like Lokey Infiniti and CrawfordZCar to the clear bra installations by ISI... each of these companies really seem to be top notch operations.

Glad you're happy with your tint!

Does the tint guy do mobile installs or at his shop only?

I just had mine done, ISI/Alan's work is absolutely flawless. On the other hand, I don't know why Creative Carz's charged me MORE for a 2nd layer of tint than for the first one after I brought in 3 cars plus mine a couple of weeks ago. Oh well.

He travels to Tampa a lot and we had a tint day once at Aleic's garage in Orlando.. He can do it in your garage if he ever travels that far up north, but who knows.

My guess would be because he didn't have to remove any tint the first time...

If you mean a second complete layer over your existing tint... uh... then, I don't know...

.

2nd layer over my existing tint and at the same time he said that he gives discounts to those who bring people in. Go figure. It's ok though...

Well if it's "ok though" maybe you shouldn't bring it up again in a public forum. If it's really not OK, then maybe you should have spoken with him at the time he installed it and charged you.

FYI, Dexter offered to tint my back window for ~$25 and I slapped him a $50. He's been more than fair in all of my dealings with him.

Hey whats up. How much did I charge you for the second layer again? To tint a rear glass by itself I usually charge $50 so with your discount (15%) it would be about $42. I dont give discounts for refferals (yet ) becuse that woud mean there will be an extra discount on top of your membership special. I try my best to please everyone but remember I still have a business to run. If I overcharged you let me know and I'll refund the difference.

I don't want any credit for bringing people in, if I've gotten a couple of people to join the club, that's enough of a reward. I'm not trying to turn this into another "Z tube from Lokey" thread, but if a director gets charged an X amount once and X+Y a second time, then something might be going on that all of us might want to know about, that's it, thanks for the clarification.

the first time u had all ur windows tinted then u did just the rear, how did u pay "more" the second time. He offered to refund u "IF" a mistake was made so, why dont u take it off the board to get a resolution and if & only if that doesnt work should an accusation be made publicly about a very loyal sponsor!
