Overlays installed
After months (1st Lokey meet), I finally had help to put on my Bat's overlays. Big...no, HUGE thanks to Ian for spending his night with me in my garage installing my overlays. He skipped the gym to help me out. Awesome guy! All we have left are the top inserts for the tailights and possibly the 3rd brake light. I will post pictures when finished.
For the record, I have to say that putting on those overlays (except one) wasn't that hard, but it was extremely time consuming to ensure that there were no leftover liquid bubbles under the overlay. By far the hardest and smallest overlay was the spoiler tail light. The trimming involved with that piece was pretty scary. One wrong hand motion and you'd be scratching your paint with a razor...yikes...Ryan, I hope your happy with them. I did the best I could do in getting them on correclty. Show us some pics when you get the chance.
Dan, our club checks recquire two signatures. You can try to fake mine, but can you fake Tod's or Wes's?

glad you got them on Ryan. If you would have given me more notice I prolly could have made it but I had to do some research for a proposal due today that I'll be writing during lunch.

Sweet looking ride. I am interested in those overlays and can someone tell me what is involved with installation. Could you post a direct link to the website for purchase, I have been geting error links. Thanks in advance
The site is www.bluebatmobile.com but its down now and has been down before. Im pretty sure its running on a personal server but I could be wrong.
Anyways, The installation is straight forward but can get frustrating. All you need is:
1) a spray bottle with soapy water
2) a towel
3) a straight edge (squegy would work best but credit card is what I used)
4) a blow dryer.
5) razor to trim edges
clean the light, spray is down heavily, place the overlay on, and begin working out bubbles using the blow dryer heat to help lay down and bend the overlay through the curves. When done, trim any excess otherwise it will peal back up if air can get under the overlay. Its just like laying tint, in fact any tinter would probably do it for you for less the $30. Sounds easy and the second one will be pretty quick. Just takes the first one to master the skill.
