Installed Rogue Eng. short throw shifter
Yesterday, I installed the Rogue Engineering short throw shifter. I couldn't have done it without the help of Todd. Thank you, Todd! He offered me his garage and his jack stand. Without these, I would have been helpless. Install should have been pretty simple...but with me behind the tools, it was a little time consuming.
I can say I am happy that I did the mod. The shifts are noticeably shorter. What is worth the price tag? Maybe not...I'd have to compare a stock shifter to my Rogue after a week or so of getting used to. Now I have to wait another week before the new shift **** arrives to see just how short the throws will feel.
p.s. I am offering test drives for $20 a piece.

I have thought about installing a Rogue shifter, but a trusted friend who had it installed didn't like it. I'm anxious to hear your impressions after a week of driving with it.
you will like it once you get used to it. Also, change out the shift **** as well. I had the Momo AirSphere on there for awhile, which worked very well with the shifter.
Yeah, Ryan should stay away from tools for a while. He told me that the plate holding the shifter down had bolts that were spinning. He screwed around with these bolts for like 15 minutes while I was getting dirty tearing apart and repairing my lawn mower. Finally I walked over to the car and picked up the socket wrench. I instantly noticed that Ryan was TIGHTENING the bolts instead of loosening them. When I told him what was going on he gave me the most awesome reply.
"well it's righty-tighty, lefty-loosey, right?" LOL
My reply was, "no, it's clockwise = tighten and counter clockwise = loosen, except for left handed threads." Ryan just looked at me sort of confused and said, "oh... yeah". It was a hoot!

I already have that covered. My new shift know and OEM aluminum pedals are being sent to me from my house in Clearwater as we speak.

The SS **** stays much cooler. I havent tested it on a 100 degree day, but so far, its been about 90 degrees in Charlotte, and it has been cool enough to grab and go...without burning your hand."
