Long story short, Friday 10/14 I'm driving home from Gainesville to Clearwater at around 1 so I can catch a flight out of TIA at 6. I have my girl friend and my dog in the car and just south of Ocala I start realizing that it sounds like I'm driving much faster than I really am, 75mph, due to excessive wind noise and turbulance. I drive about another exit and my girl friend rolls down the window and says she hears something on her side, but I am starting to feel some rustling under my feet in my wheel well, neither of us saw anything so I shouldn't be dragging anything. I pull over and she looks in her wheel well and I look in mine. Somehow both of the liners in the wells came off and were rubbing in the tires so much that they practically melted away to just a few singed strands of plastic. I break off as much as I could so I won't have stuff bouncing around anymore and call up John at Lokey, whose number is saved to my cell, to see if I can drop off my car and of course he says just swing on by. I get there at about 2:30 show them what is up plus have them look at my malfunctioning anti-pinch mechanism on the drivers side window and broken rear ash tray. I get a loaner sedan and throw all the luggage into the spacious trunk and have the dog hop in the back seat (with rear doors, so much easier). I get home in just enough time to drop off the dog at the house and get my Mom to drive us to the airport. My car was inspected that Monday with parts ordered, delivered and fixed on Tuesday, and picked up Wednesday with a sparkling new wash interior and exterior. Me too, but it is soooo worth the trip to Clearwater it's not even funny.

That's funny, I was at Lokey this morning around 8am and didn't see either Dan or John? I need to get my eyes checked out!!!
