Question Powder Coat or Paint Wheels??

Since the car is in the shop I think its time to complete my initial plan and get the wheels done in black. The question is should I have them powder coated ($100 per center) or painted ($550 for all 4). Any recommendations in terms of wear?

Was also quoted $350 to paint the brake calipers in red... is that a good price?

1. Powder coat is 100 times stronger than paint.
2. You can do your own calipers without even removing them with the G2 paint kit for ~$50.

Heck G8tor20 painted his own calipers and he barely knows how to remove the wheels.

Powdercoat all the way. If you need a place to do it let me know, I'll tell you where I got mine done.

paint will chip. especially if you drive on freeway. at does speeds a small rock can chip the paint of the rim.

Does powder coated wheels look the same as painted ones. Talking about texture wise. I was thinking of getting my rims done also in black. Also does certain colors that are powder coated look better than others or the finish is the same?
