Ok..I guess I was delerious yesterday b/c I didnt notice this until today after waxing my whole car...I have realized that this paint guy f'ed up the paint job big time. My bumper is 15 shades off of DG. Closer to a Desert Paltinum Sides seem to be a bit closer to DG but not quite and the no clear coat thing sucks. I feel like I'm driving one of those civics with just a primed bumper

I have to get them repainted. What a waste of money that was. Todd...do NOT use this guy. Did a really sh!tty job on them. I am just gonna go to richard and leave him ny car so he can color match it there. Live and learn I guess...

Here are some pics:

I know the flash manipulates it a bit but you can see the two different tones between the body and the sides:

yeh
that is way off. it didnt look that bad when we put them on but that was at 4 in the am so i cant really say we were seeing to clearly then either.

the second picture does seem to look more like my color but i dont think it would look like my color if you put it on my car.

if only our orginal guy was still around jason. things would have been much better.

I'm soo ticked off. I spend soo much money and seemingly take my car out of town to get reputable people to touch my car and nothing goes right.

I might as well let local shops do this **** as apparently out of town guys are just as bad....

I know Daniel...4am hides many things. That second pic is the one that really shows it. I wonder what this guy will say when I call him tomorrow?

Some guy named Eric in Tampa at a place called Masons Auto Collision. When I bought them from Mike...Mike had his old bumper repainted and it looked really good. So..I told mike to just drop off the greddy there. So...the guy didnt have my car when he painted them...but comm'on....this is not even close....

holy crap! Jason, I am going to call Erik tomorrow on this. I feel really bad now...he did such a good job on the black bumper. I can't understand how he could not mix that correctly.

Not your fault Mike. But he did a bad job all around. Mad overspray and bubbles in many places (I showed him the overspray and he was like...ill have to redo that). But the color is waaaay off and it was just a rush job all around. I'm gonna call him tomorrow too. Very disapointed but, again, not your fault at all so dont feel bad.

whats wrong with this car?? i think it looks fine. i actually know a couple of guys that work for my dads company and they said that they leave it a different color cause they want it to stand out more so you know it has a kit on it, i swear its the truth. he had a black civic, with a silver kit on it. plus they said a lot of their friends just go steal full cars. take off all the mods and then sell them cheap as hell. thats another reason the kits are off color....

Are you sure you didnt have someone steal that kit for ya there man??

Damn Jason, it sucks that the color doesn't match. A lot of car manufacturers paint the front and rear bumper covers in a separate location from where the cars are built and painted and the covers don't match even on the showroom floor.

Maybe he'll repaint it and match it better with the car there. Or you could send something like the fuel filler lid to match the paint by.
