The Nissan 4.5 V8 is only about 60 pounds heavier.... thats a 2% gain in overall vehicle weight, but with about 20% gain in power... (280hp vs 340hp)
The Nissan 4.0 V6 is a slightly larger block to increase low-end torque for hauling stuff, while sacrificing high-end horsepower, which is why its in a Truck/SUV
I would go with the 4.5 V8 any day!!
