I don't think weekends are doable. I'll find out on Monday when I meet up with the insurance adjustor and walk the car w/ him. That's when we decide on the value of the car.

IF ANYONE HAS PICS OF MY CAR THEY CAN E-MAIL TO ME FROM OUR LAST MEET I'D APPRECIATE IT!

If your car is at a junk yard, call them and see if they have any cars that you can buy parts from.

The car is at a GEICO lot where they temporarily store totaled cars. They sell the cars at an auction and don't disclose the info about the auction. Parts aren't for sale, but they can be exchanged for "OEM Infiniti Parts".

So let me get this straight, they are going to put your G up for auction when you are done with it, yet they will not tell you when, and where?! Why, that's retarded, I can only see this effective at making the owner disgruntled and unhappy in the event that he may wish to reclaim his car.

That's as bad as holding candy above a child and taunting him, ugh I don't understand insurance companies. Although I do know they are not your friend, that's for sure.

Quote: Update: I just spoke with the insurance adjustor and they'll have my car on thier lot until December 23rd.
Be careful leaving your car on their lot for a long time... someone else might be "eyeing" those parts... I'd try to remove any easily-removable parts as soon as possible.

I'll check my pictures tonight.

Sorry neff I would love to help tear apart your car but im going to be working. We are just gearing up for busy season and I cant take any time off. I dont think I would be much help in the first place.

The only thing I could do is order a pizza with ryan and watch everyone else do the real work.

Dang, this is so sad. Not only is the car gone, but you are leaving the red community :-( <I cry, I cry>

I wish I could help tomorrow, and I'll be driving right by you guys when I think about it. What time are you starting on Saturday and where? Anyone want to tell me where the car-part-out will take place? Maybe I can stop by and give some moral support - and if I have an hour, I could easily help you pull the stereo parts. That's my forte.

Oh, and what are you doing with the LR painted mirror pieces?

Adrian,

It is looking more and more like the 20th of December will be the HUGE part out day. I'm hoping that Jeremy and I can go to town on Tuesday the 6th or Wednesday the 7th but I won't know for sure until tomorrow.

BTW, the LR side mirror supports can be yours for a small fee. (Normally I'd just give them to you, but after losing many many thousands of dollars with this accident I really need to try to recoupe my money somehow).

The only catch is that I'd just need to swap them for yours, so you'd need to stop by while I'm there and we could do it kind of quickly. BTW, my side mirrors have a clear bra on them. If that's something you'd be interested in we could swap the entire mirror and mirror support...

Holy moly! WTF? @%^$. I don't go on the forum for just a few days and something like this happens. Jeez, glad to see that you are ok and in good enough spirits to deal with this and not just curl up in a ball and freak out. I will definately help out if I can. I will be in the UCF area moving my sister on the weekend of the 17th (I think) but hopefully that won't take long. I am unable to take off anymore days from work since I don't even have enough time saved up to take 2 weeks off starting Christmas weekend. Too bad I don't live closer. Oh yeah, if you can, definately take off as many of the "little" things that you can because they will most likely end up missing. A buddy of mine totaled his A4 and within two days of sitting at the insurance company he had his projectors stollen and a few other minor things as well.

RIP

The exact date is still up in the air. I have a friend who can help me on the 20th or the 21st. He has a HUGE truck (he repairs heavy machinery for a living). His truck has a lift, a crane, a welder, every tool known to man, a compressor, air tools, jack, jackstands, etc... He even used to own and operate a performance shop for honda's and nissan's. He told me he has installed dozens of comptech superchargers and he can even get my headers and the clutch and flywheel off with a little help from us.

I'll reply with an "official date" in a few days. My first objective is to remove the wheels, brakes and rotors before someone else helps themselves to them.

yeah, please, as soon as you get a chance at least take off the rims so the car doesnt look suspect... as if it has mods. Good luck and keep us posted. If Im in Florida when this goes down, Im pretty sure I'll make the trip to help.
