I went there recently to inquire about getting tinted windows and apparently they use Llumar tint. i was wondering if anyone from the gainesville area or who know about this place can let me know if they are any good or not. from the example they had on display it looked good but i would like a second opinion. Thanks

 

Rom, I went there to get my first quote and they wanted an arm and a leg for tinting: $150 for the most simple tint- then they were telling me about another $20 for la la la, I instantly tuned them out when I realized they wanted at least $170 plus taxes for a two door car! I just waited till I went back home and I had it done for half the price! And not with an el-cheapo dyed film either - I had the real quality stuff put on, with warranty for bubbling fading etc. Keep looking around bud. If you go to south Florida any time soon, I can give you the card to the people that did mine. I have been in Gainesville for almost 6 years now and I still don't know any other tinting places other than that car wash lol.

Tropical Glass (Tropical something at least), it's over by the dive shop on 13th, that seems to be where most people get stuff done around here, I don't know about prices or warranty stuff though. I do beleive we have some sponsors though that will travel to you and have some good deals.

 

since my car is a 4 door they wanted 160 for the Llumar i think it was 30% tint. and he showed me the sample job on their hummer but was still not fully convinced mostly because the guy was giving me all these compliments on my jacket and how "classy" my car was. i asked him about the swirl marks on my car and removing them and he was talking about adding another 80 or so for a full detail which includes 20 knocked off the regular price. i don't think i'll be going down to south florida anytime soon but i think i might check out that place on 13th by the dive shop and see what i get there.
