Clear Bra

My clear bra was getting pretty bad so I decided this morning to remove it. It came off easier than I thought considering it's been on for 2+ years. The removal time is mostly taken up by the adhesive removal. 3M sells an adhesive remover that's safe for our paint. I found the easiest way to remove the clear bra was to peel up an edge then roll it. As you start to roll it off the car have a spray bottle with soapy water to saturate the back of the clear bra. It will help to loosen the adhesive. When you roll it, it takes most of the adhesive with it. I found this out about 1/3 of the way through the process.
One of the selling points of the clear bra is that it's not supposed to yellow. I couldn't believe how yellow it was after being on the car for so long. You can't tell it has a yellow tint when it's on the car but when it's off its very noticeable.
FYI-If you have the clear bra professionally removed it’s about $150.

The cost to replace it is the same as getting it repainted so I'm going to keep it off until it needs to be repainted.

Actually the 3M Bras have a normal yellow tint to them. The pics of the ones on the ground you posted is the normal color. I have installed a few. It shows up on white cars the worst.

I have llumar bra on mine, and its a transparent one. It took a hell of a beating this weekend with the g35/350z hill country cruise. The hood part actually got damaged on two parts of the bra.

It was a 3M bra but I don't remember it having a yellow tint.

It's hard to see in this pic, but you can see after a first install of the 3m, its a litttle more yellow. Shows better on white.
