14.21 is not bad Ryan. I wouldn't worry about dynoing unless we have a dyno day. When I put my intake, plenum, cats and headers on I actually lost hp according to the dyno at Coastal but I can feel a hp gain when driving. Sam at Coastal even warned me before the install when I did a before and after dyno.

At least you went out to the track and tried. The more you practice, the better you'll get.

Quote: Horrible!!!
My first run, I spun all through 1st gear.
2nd run, I missed 2nd (I never "miss" 2nd, but it nevers goes into 2nd because of the little notch?)
3rd run, 2.1 60'...pretty good launch, but since I had the mindset that I suck at driving, I thought I missed 2nd again...but I didn't. So I basically had it in 2nd, took it out, and put it back in. 14.8
4th run, 14.57 @ 98.41...crappy
5th run, my new best by .03, 14.21 @ 98.96 with 2.1 60'
last run, i could have done better on the launch (2.2 60') and ran 14.22 @ 99.33 (power shifted).

So it looks like Wes was right...the exhaust an plenum didn't do much at all. I still can't drive.

I hope to dyno soon to see if I gained or last anything...we should set up a dyno day!
Those are still respectable times. Getting 14.2's twice notes that. Nice strong traps, too. Probably a 14.0xx car if it got driven a bit better (trust me, I have no room to talk)!!!

98intrigue...don't feel bad, look at this (at the same track last night):

A 12.99 @ 109 in a TT? That really seems like a driver issue (or tuning, or some truly bald tires) to me...

Do you still have the short shifter on your car?

When you shift, do you put your hand on the side of the shifter stick, or the top. Putting your hand on top of the shifter **** makes it less likely that you will hit the gate between first and second.

Good job! You can't be disappointed when you run your best ET ever...

Quote: Was the track busy/packed? Any other interesting/exceptionally fast cars there?

A dyno day is in the works but we're planning to do it at coastal dyno (west florida). Still in planning stages though...
It wasn't too busy. The longest line there was all night was just beyond the bend.

There was a Mercedes CL65 AMG, which ran a 12.9 at best.
Vortech S2000 ran a 13.3
Techni from my350z ((g35 with greddy kit) ran 12.9

Was that white late model Civic coupe there? The 10 second beast of a car? Last time, it put down three runs in the 10.7's...
An E55 with a kid under 18 was running 13.0xx...
