Tuner Bash

The tuner bash that was to be held in Daytona Beach has been cancelled or should I say it was never even started. The city of Daytona Beach did not want to permit them this year. It will soon be were nothing will happen in Daytona they dont want spring breakers there.

Yeah they started that policy last year and they are working harder at getting some of the other shows out of Daytona as well.

well it looks like the post that was on the internet was never updated I got an email from john with the updated info.

FYI

Jon, that looks to be dated 2005 and probably refers to last years' cancellation. So far the show appears to be on schedule. Also, the "Tuner Jam" is scheduled for the 24 th-26th and the Funkmaster Flex show is scheduled for the 18th. I'm calling the Funkmaster people this week to confirm the show is on and get roll in times, etc.

Daytona has been going back and forth between this debate...whether to allow spring breakers in or not. On one hand they want a family atmospher no partying and on the other they want cazy kids to come spend big money. They switch back and forth between the two policys but lately they have been leaning towards the stricter side.

Tuner Bash is in TX this year

They tried Panama City one year but they put it the same weekend as the Spring Fling show in Panama City and it flopped.

My wife has a wonderful habit of booking us at our condo in Daytona for the kids Spring Break. Problem is, it either falls during most of the other college kids' Spring Break.

Two years ago, it was the black college's Spring Break and I had just bought the Sequioa. The car had 99 miles on it in the parking garage--85 of them with the new 20" wheels and tires. Luckily, I had tuner locks on them and when someone tried to steal them (in the parking garage of the Adams Mark), they couldn't get them off. Problem was, they scratched up the wheel where the locks were, damaged the locks and then when they couldn't get them off they slashed all my tires in the garage.

Needless to say, that wasn't a fun trip...

And alas, I'll be in Daytona March 27-31st again...
