Video: Ian and I at OSW

Here is a video of our last runs tonight. It was a VERY close race.

I still ran pretty good tonight. My first 2 runs were 14.2 @ 99mph and 98mph with 2.1 60' times. I still have confidence that my next pass at Bradenton will be in the 13s.

O yeah, there were some really nice cars out there tonight. There was a white R33 Skyline GT-S. There was an amazing white Supra with over 800hp to the wheels that I met at one of the UCF car meets. There was also a sick looking black Supra with no spoiler (spoilerless Supras are nucking futs!). Also, there was a very clean white S14 with the SR20 swap. Alot of nice cars...

Nice video. Next time, lose the passenger and strip out your interior for better times.

Video looks good!

I'm surprised they allow passengers to ride down the track... that's different.

Any of you guys with headers ever take your cats off and run with open headers?

my stock 5AT (well Ztube/Popcharger) ran 14.4 in dead of summer

our car is just well designed, all the bolt ons combined wont take more than 1/2 second off

I feel that other DG car in the video can do allot better but the driver just sucks

If I ever happen to figure out how to properly "feather out the clutch" instead of just dropping it at 2500k rpm and enduring some super wheel hop shaking which I usually do, I think i'd be able to post a better time. I just get to anxious when i'm at the starting line...

I'm not much of a drag racer anywayz, I just do it for fun when I can.

maybe .75 or so. We are only talking high 13's here as a goal w/ bolt on's and not stripping the interior or running slicks to do it. My G35 is making almost 30 peak hp over stock, but is making 20 useable hp and 35tq over stock in useable tq.

As a comparison, my Acura TL-S really gained 20 useable hp (peak of 30hp--the same) but only 10tq peak with less than 5useable ft/tq from bolt ons, and I dropped .65x in the quarter to 14.23x, but ended up having terrible traction issues I could never get worked out. It could been 14.0xx without that as I could never get really past a .225 60ft with the fwd and squealing 2nd gear. Further, the Acura and G are both AT's and have almost the same weight, though the G is running on 19's compared to my Acura's stock 17's (18's used in its best times post modding) and is rwd (duh).

I ran a 14.889 (almost the same as the stock Acura) with really crummy driving with 60 degree temps in my stock G35. It probably could have been 14.6xx figuring it out and having more than 1k miles. Now that it is more broken in and with the much more useable power, high 13's should be gotten by someone who can drive (likely other than me). We'll see soon enough, though!

I ran a 14.33 @ 98mph stock. Mods don't do much for this car...I just enjoy racing it.
