I posted in February about my paint being ruined by some kind of chemical/acid. It is in the shop for the repair. My body shop guy called me and said he wanted to order a new spoiler and was negotiating with my carrier. He states that substance ate through all the paint and restoring the spoiler to the "perfect" shape will be difficult. I'm not sure if a replacement is really necessary, or if he is padding the claim. Little difference to me, I just want it to look new again.

In any event, if my carrier bites on the replacement, I will have an '06 spoiler available on the super-cheap.
