your all wrong....

it WOULD work...problem is that it would never get done! but if 300 million people all stopped using Exxon Mobile for 2weeks, prices would be at most $1.50/gallon. Its just impossible to orchestrate and follow through with such a large plan.

it just isnt a practical goal. Everyoe would have to fill up in advance which is going to be a boom for their bottom line and I know I cannot go two weeks without topping of the tanks and I work from home 3 days a week.

The demand placed on the other pertol companies during this period would offset any negative supply problem we all would be looking to impose on exxonmobil. If anything we would more than likely complicate matters even more for ourselves.

Quote: GOOD LORD!!! Luckily you only drive 15 miles a day.
I'm going on my 4th time filling up since Sunday 4 pm. I currently have a 1/4 tank left so I will have to fill up on the way home from work or tomorrow morning.

Don't forget we are also not the only ones consuming gas...airline companies, large freight ships, etc also use gas from these companies. Also, I believe Exxon/Mobil does more than just provide gas, I think they do more than that. So I highly doubt that this would actually work even if all 300 million people went along with it.

Good point... Lets all taketwo weeks off and not go anywhere or buy anything. By day tree we would be out of water and everyone would smell like the other gas not used in vehicles or heating.
