If you polish aluminum, be prepared to keep it polished. Uncoated aluminum oxidizes and turns dull easily, especially when wet.

I paid alot for the exterior of my APS plenum to be polished but it makes a world of difference in aesthetics.

You can do it yourself. Start with sandpaper, coarse to fine grit, and then start hitting it with a polishing wheel. There are several out there that mount to an electric drill. Sportbike owners used to do that a lot on their aluminum frames before they all began to come painted black.

Thanks Sean. I am considering have it coated once it is done to help seal the buffing work. But that is a little down the road. The other problem is works space. I will have to do this at my grandmothers garage in orlando. So I will probably spend a couple of days there jsut working on it all day long.

Give us a shout when you are in town.

Maybe one of the guys that has a Crawford plenum will trade upper plenums with you. You polish theirs and give them yours when you put it on your car.

I am going to try to set this up so that I can test an unpolished against a polished. I will try to do the dyno same without coming off the rack ut time and money being a driving factor I dont knwo if I will be able to get that kind of latitude. So at the least I will try to dyno same but remove the car from the dyno to change the parts and then re test hopefully the enviromental variables will remain rather consistent.

Whatever the result I can walk away with a little experience and a lot of me time with my G... Lovin you is easy becasue youre so GGGG GGGG GGG35ful... ooo oo ooo! ooooooooooooo!
