Stillen stage 1?

I did a search on a stage 1 kit, and couldnt find any1 who has one.
Is it possiable to get the warranty with this kit?
If so how much, and what does it cover?
How much would an install cost, and what additional parts would i need?
And is there a wait on getting one of them?
The reason i think i would want the stage 1 vs. 2/3 is the fact that i dont need anymore horsepower than stage 1 offers, and stage 1 is a grand cheaper.
Thanx in advance.
-Tom

yeah there's a warrenty available if you buy one

I still wouldn't run a FI kit without an intercooler though, but that's just me. Who knows how hot that air will get when your engine gets really really hot. You'll just lose power since you'll have nothing to keep intake temps in check

+1 intercooler is good for you - that's what makes it safe. install should be ~$1k.

it's safe if you don't push the car all that hard or drive to redline very often and only do it here and there.

I mean it IS safe, but you're going to lose a lot of power once the engine starts seeing some heat build up. The intercooler helps you not only keep the temps from rising, but will cool them even more than stage 1 and that means not only do you not lose power as the engine heats up, but you gain power

I believe there was only one member who ran stage1 for 1 year or so without any problem..but he upgraded his to stage2....I would spend 1K to add reliability & hp IMO

i ran stage 1 for about 15,000 miles with no problems.but when it got hot out you could feel the power drop off.when i went to stage 2 you could def feel the power gain, and now stage 3 even better.you can get a warranty with stage 1 but it is not carb approved, only stage 2 is.

Ok what about other state like NY that don't care about CARB. What if the cop pull you over and see that you have a Turbo, what will they do to you? I never bother with it when I had my Civic, I just pay the inspector or give it to couple of my friends and they just give me a sticker for the inspection.

don't buy any sc or tt or st without an intercooler..... it's just a safer bet to have it...... what's the #1 concern when you fi a car? that's detonation.... so with the intercooler, you are just that much further from blowing up.... so GET IT..! besides, the stillen is heat sensitive.... so without an intercooler, you're doing yourself a diservice not to get the intercooler..... this is also the reason why stillen doesn't warr stage 1.......

no its liquid cooled not air cooled like most others.and it also has a heat exchanger under the blower.

Please read this and think before you all flame me.

According to Stillen's web site a Stage 1 is $3700 and a Stage 2 is $5300.

I have a turbo Buick and alcohol injection is all the rage right now. Yes the Buick is factory intercooled but I seriously doubt many of you have seen how tiny that thing is but it cannot handle the 20+ psi of boost.

A good computer controlled Alky injection is roughly $800. The difference between a Stage 1 and Stage 2 is $1600.

Now I'm just assuming here but I figure that without the added height of an intercooler the Stage 1 will fit under a stock hood. Again according to Stillen, the Power Cowl Hood is $200. What's paint and body work another $350-500?? That is a savings of $1350 over a Stage 2.

If you still need a hood that is still a savings of $800.

Again I may still be an idiot but taking a bit of a cue from the Mustang people, the intercooler will loose it's efficiency as the water heats up. They change the front mount and the cooler under the blower for more efficiency. I understand that the Stillen intercooler may be a better design so this may be moot.
