I think it is. Just got mine finished just have to install the gauges and front end and she is almost complete. Its fun to drive as long as you leave it at factory boost.

I have the Turbonetics ST kit and I think its more then worth. If nothing more then to emberass cars twice the price of yours. (Porsche 997 Carrera, Vette, etc) I like my cars fast and stock is just not enough..

I kinda think of it like a boat - a money sinkhole...

but if it gives ya the thrill and you can afford the downsides - well it's worth it then

that said I'm in the same "boat" as you - ha ha! except i'm planning on wasting 20k to get me the ride i never knew i always wanted - make sense?

If you want it just for the blow off valve sound then its not worth it. If you really must have that sound then get rid of the G and buy a car with a factory turbo like mentioned above.

Yea, I wish I could wait for it to come out. I'll probably wait until it's into it's 2nd model year so the price can come down and the aftermarket can be well established.

I guess the closest comparison to a turbo kit.... A sound system?

reason:
when you first get it and your bumping then its awesome!!! You bump your music and people are looking and your friends are all wow but then you finally get used to the sound and you want MORE BASS or you dont want anymore.

Then you start getting tickets for your system being too loud, you blow your speakers then your amp and sub and then you have to keep buying new parts...Pretty soon before you know it your going to want to sell it because you just see the system with more headaches then you ever imagined it to be.

Ive had my TT kit since may/june of 04.... Its been awesome for me and ive done A LOT to my car since like build the motor and MANY MANY MANY other things but theres a lot of problems like blown gaskets and leaks and hoses and such that you never expect that just come up. Example, I just paid over $1400 because my factory ECU and Harness took a $hit on me... thats an unexpected expense. Just understand that if you dont have a lot of money to throw away or if this car is your daily then I would highly suggest against it b/c your going to regret doing everything.

On the flip side though, learn from experience and dont regret anything you could have done today tomorrow. Go for it but just reallllly weigh out all your options and circumstances. Hope this helps buddy. Peace
