Does anyone here have the APS ST or TT WITHOUT an engine failure?

If so, could you post a reply giving the pertinent details:

Does your engine have stock internals or upgrades?
If the engine was upgraded, what was done to it?
What extras have you installed for the turbo in addition to the kit?
What boost level are you runnng?
What is your WHP (only if known from a dyno run)?
About how many miles have been driven since the turbo install?
What octane gas do you use?
What octane gas was the engine tuned for?
What is typically the highest rpm's you run?
Who did the most recent tune?
Are you aware of any cooling issues with your engine?

I'm looking for ONLY personal experience here. If YOU do not have an APS turbo on your car, please do not post a reply. Please do not post information about a friend's car or one you have heard about. Please do not post references to other threads or forums (like my350Z.com).

Thanks very much!!

dont own one but know a few friends from an autorized APS dealer also work on a friends car with a ST APS Kit (before the new fuel system was released) if you have a specific question about the kit itself please PM me and i'll do my best to answer it. but most of the question above depends on the owner and how far he wants to push his motor. most of the guys i know run it very safe while others tell the tunner to push it as far as it'll go..

I have an APS TT with the APS plenum installed. I have stock internals with about 8lbs of boost. Driven about 7000 miles without any problems. I use 93 octance fuel on the 91 octane map. Car is not tuned yet, but plan on doing it sometime this month. It's my daily driver so i rarely drive it hard.

I HAVE AN APS ST PURE STOCK ENGINE RUNNING AT 8.5 PSI ON 91 OCTANE. HAVE ABOUT 20000 MILES ON THE KIT

AFTER ORIGINAL INSTALLATION AND TUNE, DID 330 WHP -- I HAVE AN AT

GOT A KINETIX SSV AFTER 3K MILES AND THEN A NEW TUNE; NOW DOING 379 WHP. BELIEVE COULD DO MORE IF I SWITCH OUT MY EXHAUST -- CURRRENLTY HAVE A BORLA WHICH I BELIEVE CAUSES A BACK UP

ABSOLUTELY NO COOLING ISSUES WHATSOEVER; REGULARLY MAKE WEEKEND TRIPS FROM LA TO MY WEEKEND HOUSE IN PALM DESSERT (ITS ABOUT A 110 OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW) AND BEAT THE **** OUT OF THE CAR REGULARLY DOING OVER 125 ETC.

WORD OF ADVICE -- IF YOU BUY THE KIT GO TO AN AUTHORIZED APS DISTRIBUTOR TO INSTALL WHO KNOWS HOW TO TUNE THE UNICHIP OTHERWISE YOUR ARE GOING TO BE SOL

IF YOU WANT AN APS KIT; CALL CHRISTIAN AT BRAINSTORMING IN LA; THEY MAY POST HERE SO DO A SEARCH

BRAINSTORM DID MY INSTALL AND ARE THE ONLY TUNER WHO HAS TOUCHED MY CAR SINCE. (THEY DID THE TUNING ON THE FF3 CARS.)

YOU MAY PM ME FOR MORE QUESTIONS.

IF YOU GO FI; YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE SET SOME CASH ASIDE FOR INCIDENTALS, INCLUDING FUTURE TUNES ETC. ITS THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR MORE HP.

I have the greddy TT completely stock internals, top speed test pipes, and evo2 exhaust system. I have had it for about 2 months and about 1500 miles. No problems and pushing about 365whp estimated not dynoed yet.
And loving it.

Off Topic Posts/Replies

Rather than hijack this thread, could everyone please keep off topic posts/inquiries as the subject of a PM rather than a post that is something other than owners of APS turbos reporting their personal experience?

Please don't post to this thread if you are not reporting personal experience with an APS turbo on YOUR car. Thanks.

A little off topic but APS has announced a price drop on the single turbo kit 8/1/06 through 12/31/06. The new price is $4,995.

Good move, don't go any higher than your current whp. Should be safe for a long time on stock internals.
