OMG, my SC is loud!

Well, when I had my SC stage II installed, it was only making 5psi and about 294 whp and was rather quiet compared to some. Well, I had the Stillen CAI sitting around, and I finally installed it. Dang, that lower screw in the bottom as a pain to get to screw in. Anyways, after I put that on, all I can say is Oh Boy!!! That thing is so loud now it almost hurts my ears when the windows are down. I can definately tell that people are looking a lot more. But the biggest thing is that I can definately tell that there is a HP gain.

we should meet up some time and go drive on lower wacker in chicago. the 2 stillened sedans would sound awesome. some of the local members are going to start working on a video in late july/early august. you should try to make it. let me know if you are interested.

Have any sound clips to post?

I love the sound of a screw SC, I just wish Stillen could find a way to get the same power as Vortec. If they start hitting 380+ whp, I'd have one installed in a heart beat.

check out Ttrank's car. I think that he is planning on getting his stage IV close to that.

What's that??? Did I just hear a heartbeat???

No, I don't have any sound clips. Even if I did, how would I post them???

Nice. So now does it sound like a freak'n Jet engine. ... Last week, a Benz with a SC pulled next to me at a stop light, when it turned green, it took off and sounded like an F16 fly by, it scared the living crap out of me. Too bad I wasnt driving my G at the time.

The big sides have ducts that flow the air inward so it actually gets a lot of airflow.

You can kinda see them here on mine:

The big difference is power under the curve. The Stillen makes a ton of low end power and torque but dies out up above 5500. If you look at the average HP over the entire powerband the results might suprise you with how well it does. As for the big peak numbers, 380+ is almost impossible. I am trying for about that but I will have a ton of work into it to get there.

yeah, I think 380+ is nearly impossible, even 350 i can't see stillen putting that much down with the M62. I was at Stillen yesterday getting my stg2 dynoed and i saw a stg4 go first, he only put down 330 with 100 octane. I was clearly disappointed!!

Although a bit of good news, i did hear that Stillen is R&Ding a larger blower!!!
