Vortech #'s from my Tune (5AT)

Here is my Dyno Chart... It was done on a Dyno Dymanics which reads 10% lower than a Dyno Jet. I had this done at DynoComp in Scottsdale AZ (Same place as Sentry65) ...

My adjusted numbers are...

402.4 rwhp and 342.1 tq

I am VERY happy with these numbers

Damn those are some nice numbers.
What are you running for PSI?
I know you have some other modifications done to your car as well.
I'm running 370whp and 300 ft/lb torque with a stock engine on my 5AT at 7psi.

Those numbers look great.

*note* If you wanna get rid of that super annoying super charger gargle that happens at idle...just have your dealership raise your idle rpm to like 750rpms....that'll get rid of it.

Here is my AF / Boost graph.... My AF looks like a mountain range, but it is solid... My boost peaked at 9psi...

I went to the dealership to get the idle raised and they looked at me like I was crazy... They then said for me to leave the car with them and they would see what they could do... I felt a BIG screw over coming on so I made a U-turn and left...

I might get the Cypher and do it myself... Or get a Technosquare reflash and have my rev limiter raised to 7200 as well at the same time... I think that one is called the "L" flash.

Cool.... Thanks Sentry!! I'll do that next week!

Do you think 750rpm's would do the trick?

I am running the stock Vortech fuel set up and it is solid with the 3.12 pulley... My tuner said there is no reason to upgrade the fuel system until I go with cams, rods and pistons with the 2.87 pulley...

I am thinking about doing that upgrade in 6-8 months...

some cars cannot raise their idle using the factory ecu.

I have a 2004.5 coupe and I CANNOT raise my idle using Cipher (and the dealer cannot raise it reportedly either).

You have a few choices - check out my350z.com. One of the simplest (though a bit scary if you screw up) is to drill a small (check size!) hole in the throttle body plate. This will allow more air to enter when the throttle body is "closed" and hence raise the rpm.

The size of the hole will dictate the amount of the increase - again check my350z before drilling. Also as I recall the position of the hole is not important.

not to burst your bubble but Dyno Dymanics number are not 10% lower than DynoJet. If anything they are 10% higher! I'm basing this comment on much education in the field and with having one of the notorious Vortech'ed G's here, I'm sure others will back up my validity. Go run the quater and you will not get past 13.2 on street tires. More than likely 365/305 are your true numbers.

After further view of your dyno, I'll add to that...at 6400 rpm, you are probably making numbers closer to 345/290. Why? Because at 6500 you go WAAAYYY lean and that created your artificial numbers. Dude, you are going to fry a ring...Have your tuner back the timing down a little at 6000 rpm if you are using the Split Second software...again, from experience.
